As you watch some videos on my YouTube channel, Facebook page, Instagram and Dailymotion, my videos are mostly in landscape . I know there are some users who prefer to upload in portrait these days, because social media have been encouraging us to upload portrait videos on a regular basis. Well, I always do everything I can to shoot in landscape, edit in landscape and even upload in landscape. Even if social media encourages me to upload in portrait, I reject that expectation and upload in landscape as much as possible. Even my videos may look small on a phone when played. Even if I had to reach for my phone and shoot some video, I always tilt the phone to landscape. While many portrait videos are mainly for phone viewing, my videos are mostly in landscape so they can be viewed from a phone to a TV. Even though I did one portrait video, just to test out YouTube shorts. Here is a video of pelicans swimming, in landscape (as a base video)  and in portrait. I also forgot...

We have decided to expand some of our video content to Dailymotion. CDV's Dailymotion Channel/Page The CDV Dailymotion page will include our short clips, slow-motion shots plus more. Note that not all videos from the CDV YouTube channel will not be on Dailymotion, and some Dailymotion videos we upload may not all be on YouTube either. We also know that Dailymotion is little known and may not get lots of views and likes from our viewers, but that does not matter. Great news, folks. We are officially moving the CDV website via to a new link. For over 10 years, CDV has been using the free CoffeeCup S-Drive web hosting service, but now we are moving to the new service InfinityFree , along with a new website address. Although we are moving, the website will remain the same as much as we can preserve, plus we will be adding some new content and make small changes to the website. Even though we will not be adding the ability to shop or book enquiries straight from the website. Also, the CDV NOW blog will remain the same here. The core website address will be changed here and all my socials. Why change? We built the CDV website from scratch many times and relied on the free CoffeeCup S-Drive web host service for over 10 years. But now CoffeeCup has announced that their ending it’s free S-Drive service at the end of September 2025 and we are forced to move the website to the new free service InfinityFree .
